People v C.E.

Businessman prevails in one of Monterey County’s longest preliminary hearings  A highly-regarded manager of a global packaging company was arrested and jailed one morning and eventually charged with more than 100 felony charges of workers compensation fraud in a high publicity case. He contacted Lawrence & Peck and after a prolonged and contentious court battle with many defense motions the case finally settled quietly with no contest pleas to a couple of misdemeanors and no time in custody.
